Teston Kiteability 30th Anniversary Weekend
11-12 August 2018

More Info here:- Teston Kiteability Weekend with Kent Kite Flyers
The hard core Gits arrived on Friday to get the gazebo up, ready for Fish 'n Chips that night.
Just ask Dicky about " The sinkhole at Barming" ...

He had to do some creative navigation to fetch the shipping order of food from Barming Fish n Chips!
(with thanks to Malcolm Ford of KKF for directions to the Barming Rat Run Detour)

It should be noted that the Gits were "travelling light" this weekend,
as they planned to go directly from Teston to Rijsbergen
- so no "Lil Genny", no profusion of lighting, and only a "small selection" of kites!

It was great to see Chris Croft again!

and here he is flying his signature stack of Flexifoil 6 foot Stackers!

As usual the wind was all over the place - "Light & Variable" in official jargon
- in the time taken for a chap to take 5 steps, it had reversed completely!!!

We were sure that Gayle would love to see the Lone Star flag at Teston again
- Gayle & Christian were last here in 2015, en route to Fanø with Keith & Glenn

As expected, there was a GOG Kite Rescue - Easy-peasy for a Git with a 9 metre pole!
With a poke, poke, poke and a twist and a twizzle - the job was done!

Hooray! The crowd were agog with admiration (sort of)

We were delighted to see our old friend Jane Gilbert, with her posse of kids!

Dicky enjoyed chasing after them with his Fart Blaster and Bubble Gun

Sunday morning started out very misty, but cleared up nicely later.

Most people wisely stayed clear of Ron's kite-eating tree!

Andrew Beattie's red & white warning windsock was given a test run - seems fine!

There were many times when there was not enough wind to keep anything in the sky!

That's the best time to have a natter with old friends!

Sunday afternoon we spent packing up the gazebo and all our other junk, with a view to an early start
on Monday, to get on the road to Dover for our ferry to Calais and a ship-board FEB - lovely!
Nous allons en vacance sur Le Continent! Rijsbergse Vliegerdagen
