What a Day of Miracles - there's wind enough to fly!

Precious memories linger here - "Forever Colouring The Sky"

Teston Big Kite Weekend: 8-9 August 2015
The Ron Dell Kite Festival

Early Friday morning in Epsom - It's going to be an awesome weekend. Have a great one everyone!

The Hard Core Gits came early - when Dicky finally arrived, they had already set up Git Camp

The Scott Tribe camped next to Peter & Jacqui's VW tent - Serious rivals in the Snoring Championship!

Git Gazebo wired for sound and light - Friday night we all tucked into Fish 'n Chips..
and enjoyed a most convivial evening

(JB actually turned up even later than Dicky, but he is part of the Git Furniture)

Saturday morning very early - just a bit of mist to start with, and then...

John B was also up early - nearly got lost in the fog!

Hang on! There's somebody else out there - can you see him? what's he up to?

Somebody Plutzing about - I wonder who...?   Of course - it's Keith!

This was a Mega Plutz 3 - wonderful to see it gliding around in absolute zero wind!

Dicky tried to get an arty shot of Dolly the Dolphin with PKF banner and sunrise...

The mist & fog cleared by about 8.30am, and we enjoyed a weekend that was sometimes TOO hot!

Profound thanks to Anne and Sandra for providing endless tea & coffee to help keep us going

We were delighted that Tina was able to come with her friends Stephen & Barbara

Thank you Jane for this lovely panoramic shot - You can see how hot it was!

The Saturday Night Buffet was a great success - again all thanks to Sandra & Anne

Come on Keith - you can get that heart a bit closer to Jacqui's shark!

Keith wanted to assemble his new UFO kite - with plenty of advice from the Git Ground Crew, of course!
This was his latest toy forced onto him by Karl Longbottom at Berrington Hall.

He had a lot of fun with his new toys after dark... while the Gits shone torches and lasers at him

The Catherine wheel was meant to hang from a kite 50 feet up - but no wind = Plan B

Sunday - Another glorious day, spent mostly lazing about and drinking copious amounts of water - yes WATER!

John B captured this atmospheric early shot of the River Medway looking serene....

John B then managed to get this unruly mob to sit still for a few seconds - good work John!

A wonderful weekend - and look how many Ron Dell Hex kites there are!
