Directions: From the A647 turn onto the A6038 at the Shipley cross roads (signposted Otley).
Keep in the left hand lane and take the left turn onto the B6151 at the Traffic lights (signposted 'To the Moors' and/or Baildon/Hawksworth).
This takes you a hill to Baildon village centre, at the roundabout at the the top of the hill go straight on,
passing the Malt Shovel pub on your right and keep going over the cattle grid onto the moor road.
Take the next left signposted Shipley Glen and drive on with the Golf Course either side of you.
Keep looking for a parking area, probably c/w ice cream van on your right, immediately opposite this on the left is a rough track signposted Dobrudden Camp Site (OK for ordinary cars)
Turn onto this and drive (carefully) up the track, after a few hundred yards you'll see a flattish area on your right, north of the summit of the hill itself, which is where most people usually fly.
Parking: Either directly by the flying site on the track (limited and narrow) or in the car park at the foot of the hill (short but steepish walk to flying area)
Facilities: None at site, shops, cafes, at Baildon, partic. good ice creams at Robinsons sweet 'shack'
Accessibility: Good.
Flying Area: On moor itself to North of Track.
Comments: Quite 'lumpy' with coarse moorland grass but v. little bracken. can get a bit boggy as well after heavy rain - wellies advised.
Also can be sheep (and associated droppings). Wind quality is excellent - 360 degrees view is excellent as well.
Nearest Retailer:Anti-Gravity Shop in Corn Exchange Leeds (August 2000) + limited supply in craft shop in Baildon itself.
