Comments: Barr Beacon is a local landmark, claimng to be the highest point due east until you hit Russia. It is suprising how the wind picks up on top of the hill.
The grass is rough and there is plenty of gorse and trees to snag a line. It is also small and I wouldn't use it in the summer as it is too poular with the locals.
On a windless day anywhere else I would give this place a go but tend not to use it any other time.
It also has a rather seedy reputation especially at night!
