Location: 4 miles North East of Brighton

Road Info: A27 turnings from West to East in this sequence - Devils Dyke, Gatwick A23, Ditchling/Hollingbury, Stanmer (Falmer)

Directions: From the A23 join the A27 Brighton by-pass and travel East towards Lewes, taking Falmer turn-off.
Cross over to the South side of A27 back toward Brighton, and take first slip road off - loop around right under A27 onto single-lane road, signposted to Stanmer Park, just before the University of Sussex.

Parking: In the park (on the verge) or at the University of Sussex.

Facilities: Toilets. The Swan Pub, Falmer (10 mins walk North-East), or East Slope Bar (very cheap beer)! just past the refectory on the University campus (10 mins walk North).

Accessibility: Easy by car. Train to Falmer station and walk through the subway to University. Bus from Brighton to University.

Flying Area: Short grass over a large area, which is very suitable for buggies. Mostly flat, with slopes & high ground around the edges.

Comments: Football pitches are used on Sunday mornings and possibly on Saturdays. There are often other events on there:- horse trials, cross country running, pop festivals, etc.
