This turns into the A259 - follow the signs to East Guildford and then left onto B road to Camber / Lydd.

Parking: East Carpark is free. The car park by the cafes and the west car park are approx £1/hr in summer. In winter the maximum is £3 (all day) in the cafe car park. The West car park is closed in winter.

Facilities: Toilets, dodgy pub, dodgier amusement facilities, tea rooms, usual beach facilities, most closed for winter.

Accessibility: Walk straight from car onto the beach.

Flying Area: 4 mile long beach - pebble slope leading to wide, flat, hard compact sand beach. Aim for low tide - the beach disappears at spring high tides.
Western side of beach is the widest (400 yards at low tide) narrowing down as it goes east.
The eastern side is also interrupted by wooden beach protection barriers, so hit the beach & turn right.
The sand is hard enough for power kiting and makes for great buggy runs, and there is enough space for many stunt fliers.

Comments: The Jury's Gap end (east) is designated for power-kiters/buggies/kite-surfers, which are banned from the central part of the beach.
Watch out for - the wooden barriers further down the beach, walkers, kite-eating dogs, pools left by the retreating tide - and don't scare the horses!
A great spot at low tide - stiff breezes are common, and other beach users aside, there are no obstacles to kite flying.
