Location: Just outside Guildford town centre between Parkway (A25) and London Road, heading north-east towards Burpham and Merrow

Directions: South off A.25 opposite Spectrum Sports Centre
Coming south down the A3 from London, exit at the junction signposted "Burpham/Merrow". Follow the road going straight over a number of small roundabouts heading into Guildford town centre. Past the BP garage, past the Harvester Pub, a row of shops, another pub, until you get to a larger roundabout - Boxgrove Roundabout. If you take the 2nd exit from here (London Road) then you'll see the park on your right, along with a row of convenient parking spaces.
Alternately take the 3rd exit (A25 - Parkway) and you'll come to the park on your left and the Spectrum Leisure Centre on your right. There's no parking on this road, but you can park in the Spectrum Centre car park, or continue down to the lights at the bottom and turn left towards Guildford College. At the next roundabout turn hard left (almost coming back on yourself) and take the road leading up past the college and Lido (signposted to the skatepark). There is a car park at the top which leads onto the park.
If you're coming north up the A3 then come off at the main Guildford exit and follow the road running parallel with the A3 (Ladymead). Go past PC World, Burger King, Halfords, and various car showrooms. At the next set of lights, you can turn right to head toward the college (as above), or go straight on down Parkway (A25) towards the Spectrum Centre (on your left) and Stoke Park (on your right). You'll eventually end up at Boxgrove Roundabout, but coming from the other direction, of course.
London Road train station is a few minutes walk away. There are buses from the Spectrum Centre into Guildford town centre and the main Guildford train station which has fast links to London, Portsmouth, Reading and various other places.

Parking: Free on-street parking on south side (London road), and in Spectrum Centre car-park on north side. Limited parking in car park around the back of Guildford college

Facilities: Toilet block in park and refreshment hut which is open in the summer months. Shops and pubs are within a few minutes walk.

Accessibility: Good. You can drive right up to the park and there are tarmac paths running around and through the park

Flying Area: Large open areas of grass across two gentle hills. Some larger trees around the perimiter can cause turbulence in some areas, but there is nearly always a part of the park that has relatively clean wind, whatever direction is it coming from

Comments: Kite boarding is officially Not Allowed although the park keepers generally don't enforce this in the winter months when the park is quiet.
However, in the summer months when the park is busier, they tend to be very strict about boarding, buggying, and other dangerous activities during office hours.
