Location: 36 miles to the West of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides.
Directions: Follow the road to the West from Stornoway to Uig. Takes about 3/4 hour. You will easily see the bay on the B8011.
Go past the Community shop and follow the road for a further 3 miles. You will see a sign post for Ardroil Beach.
Turn there and follow the road until you get to the gate/toilet block.
Parking: Free parking. Go through first gate and stop at second gate. Right next to the beach.
Facilities: Toilets nearby, no pubs, shop 3 miles.
Accessibility: Very good. Low gradient down to the beach.
Flying Area: 2 square miles at low tide. Varying levels of firmness. Very good for kite surfing at high tide.
Comments: Respect the locals, try not to go on a Sunday.
