Accessibility: fine - parking close to flying area, paved walkway runs alongside flying area
Flying Area: several acres of flat short grass (including playing fields).
Sheltered to the southern quarter but clean wind almost guaranteed from East to North to West.
Also possible to fly on extensive sand/mudflats at low tide but be careful as tides are fast, high and dangerous.
Usual unleashed dog menace with encumbent problems underfoot.
Comments: A good site. Playing field area sometimes used for rugby and as base for helicopter sightseeing tours of the city.
The pilots tend to get a bit upset if kites are around. If this happens just move to the West end of the site beyond the trees.
