Directions: great bus connections to town and the underground at Brixton which is on the Victoria line.
The easiest way is main line to either Streatham or Streatham Common BR stations which access Victoria, Clapham junction & other termini.
Its about 7 miles from central London, about 20 mins by train.
Parking: parking is easy all around
Facilities: there are 2 excellent pubs next to the common, A Youngs Pied Bull (great real ale),and another chain type real ale pub.
There is a Sainsburys store opposite open sundays, and accessible toilets in all 3.
There is a cafe at the top of the common, narrow end, and public toilets.
Accessibility: accessible on 3 sides from main roads including the A.23 main London to Brighton Rd along West end, and A214 along North side.
Flying Area: an east-west rectangle about 1/2 mile wide at one end tapering to about 1/3rd mile at the narrower end, and is about 30 acres or so.
Comments: site slopes gently upwards to a max height of perhaps 50 metres with stunning sunset views looking west over suburban south london.
Large tree-free areas for kite flying with regular and steady winds; prevailing wind is [probably] north south ?? but I'm not too good on this..
