Just as a note about St Annes in Lancashire as a flying site.....you
actually need CAA permission to fly here as it is VERY close to
Blackpool airport. As a member / guest of the WCKC you have this
between the "pier" and the "mushroom" ie. North of the pier and South of
the sand yachets! Come and introduce yourself on the beach and somone
will invite you as a guest no doubt, we maybe able to offer partial
membership early next year for people wanting CAA permission. We are
limited to 200ft, and no more than 12 kites in the air at one time on
the flying site as part of the CAA permission (we apply for an exemption
for the festival), sorry to "pee on the bonfire" but we don't want to
lose our festival site :-) Oh and there is road side parking on the
prom south of the toileted car-park...whcih is free a bit further away
from where the public go...ie safer. The site is still huge - but closed for buggying though.
