Location: Beach off Esplanade Knott End on sea located at edge of small village.
Directions: M55 junction 3, A585 north towards Fleetwood turn left at lights then bear right towards Fleetwood next set of lights.
At next set of lights turn right on A588 towards Lancaster, after approx 4 miles left onto B5377 signed Knott End.
At give way sign, left onto B5270 follow and it will become Esplanade after you pass through village.
Parking: Parking on Esplanade adjacent to beach or large free car park at end of Esplanade.
Facilities: Toilets and cafe near car park, shops in village, Bourne Arms Pub on Esplanade.
Accessibility: Ramp on sea wall and small area of salt marsh grass to cross before you get to sand.
Flying Area: Large area of flat sand in front of Esplanade is only covered on the highest tides.
The area is immense in size, but there is no need to go too far from the sea wall.
CAUTION - The further out you go, the more risk there is of patches of soft sand.
Comments: As stated the area in front of the Esplanade is not covered too often but beware of fast moving tides. People also use vehicles on the beach.
