Accessibility: On foot only. Difficult (but not impossible) for disabled owing to very muddy region around the double gate through which you must pass.

Flying Area: Fly on the rise to the east of the valley. Area is about 100m x 100m and slightly undulating. It is suitable from October to March -- the vegetation gets too high in spring and remains high until grazed in late summer/autumn.

Comments: Site is part of a nature reserve; please treat it as such. Most suitable for SLKs; sports kites when vegetation is fully grazed. Unsuitable for buggies. Look out for: Thistle stalks, cow-pats, dogs whose owners are too dumb to understand the "Keep dogs on lead" notice. The area is grazed by young cattle. New arrivals are initially curious, but generally don't interfere and keep out of the way once they realise that you are not carrying feed.

Local Clubs/Contacts: Occasional use by some KKF members

Nearest Retailer: Kites & Things, Whitstable (18 miles)
