Location: Entrance is at the end of George St on the southend side of the High St.
Directions: Sign posted from Southend Seafront or follow signs to M.O.D DERA from A13 and A127.
From London take A127 to Southend, At Cuckoo Corner roundabout, A127 turns right, go straight on taking the A1159 to Shoebury.
This then joins the A13 at a roundabout, turn left, follow A13 to the Angel Pub roundabout, first exit onto the B1017 Poynters lane, as the road turns sharp left ½ a mile ahead, turn right continuing along Poynters Lane, Take the next right turn about 1 mile into Wakering Rd this then turns into the High St after a couple of miles, pass train station on right and petrol station on left, take the next left which is George St, follow to end and left into car park.
2 minutes walk from Shoebury Train station.
Parking: Parking charges apply during the day and closes at dusk.
Facilities: two set of toilets, small cafe/shop on the south end of seafront.
Accessibility: No special access to the beach and in most places there is a 5ft sandy bank down to the beach
Flying Area: Grassed area 3/4 mile long 300 yds wide for buggying etc, some of which is use for parking BBQ's etc Shallow coast line ideal for kite surfing.
