Location: East of Bournemouth, South of Christchurch.
Directions: From Ashley Heath r/about (West of Ringwood) take A338 toward Bournemouth, turn left on A3060 S.E. past Bournemouth Hospital.
Left at Iford r/about onto A35 (Barrack Road) toward Christchurch. Right at t/lights onto B3059 toward Southbourne.
Over 2 r/abouts, look for left turn signed Hengistbury Head. Along Broadway out of built up area.
Flying site, sea, beach and parking on your right.
Parking: Pay & Display car park adjacent, or free in road by golf course. Please check this.
Free car park entrance at extreme West end of grassy area.
Facilities: Toilet block & small shop by paying car park. Road train kiosk there too - easy ride for tired feet.
Accessibility: Excellent - Park & fly
Flying Area: Large grassy area between road and sea, and on sandy beach. Grass can be quite long & dog poo plentiful.
Kite boarding and buggying are now banned here and there is a kite restriction of 3.5M maximum span.
Comments: Annual local kite festival here - August or September (crowded)
Visitors are discouraged from walking to the far end of Hengistbury Head, as they are wearing away the ground!
