Height ASL: 200 metres ? - CAA Limit: 60 metres

Location: Between the villages of Nettlecombe and West Compton

Directions: A35 Dorchester - Bridport road.
2 miles after the last roundabout on the Dorchester bypass (passing Little Chef and Printing works)
Look for small turn off right, at bottom of long hill. Landmark there is bungalow with yard full of wooden pallets.
Follow minor road for about 5 miles, road forks at one point, take left fork.
When you reach T junction (Spyway to the left), you will see the field used as a car park in front of you.
Access gate is at corner of field by T junction. Usually has long grass.

OR - from A35, take any of the minor roads North toward Toller Porcorum and Powerstock.
Stop at the highest point and you should see Eggardon Hill N.T. earthworks.

Parking: Layby at side of road - room for 3 or 4 cars.

Facilities: None. Powerstock School fete here annually.

Accessibility: OK if you can navigate wiggly little country roads. Ten minutes walk by footpath over field to the N.T. site.
Gate into field by crossroads, to stile in far corner of field, then path is twisty, narrow and steep in places.

Flying Area: On the old earthworks, central flat area is best.

Comments: Spectacular view of Lyme Bay 6 miles to the S.W. BBC aerials at Rampisham visible 5 miles to N.N.E.
Meadow muffins and thistles abound on earthworks.
