Visitor Centre is signed off the A.608 Heanor - Derby road. From Derby, before Heanor town centre, the sign points right onto Heanor Gate Road, then right at the end onto Slack Lane.
From Heanor or Ripley, the sign will point left from Derby Road down Thorpe Road, Slack Lane is straight on.
Parking: Plenty at the visitor centre, usually free.
Facilities: shop, cafe, toilets at visitor centre (disabled ok). Bicycle hire available in Summer. The Country Park Tavern 300 yds from visitor centre.
Accessibility: Good.
Flying Area: 200 metres square, mown grass
Comments: Horse riders here - do fly considerately. Tends to be muddy in Winter.
