Location: Situated on the North Cornwall coast forming the main beach at Polzeath, accesible by car from Wadebridge and all of surrounding area.
Directions: Head into the South West via the M5, at Exeter take the A30 to Okehampton and on into Cornwall, at Bodmin take the turing off to Padstow and Wadebridge. At wadebridge travel through the town and across the River Camel, make sure to take the road off to Polzeath at this point and not Padstow otherwise you will end up on the wrong side of the river. Keep travelling North until you reach Polzeath, the Car Park is on the beach.
Parking: large expanse both on and off beach - "land car park" is right next to tip of beach.
Facilities: shops, toilets, a pub, trendy cafes and surf shops.
Accessibility: easy by car and walking - if you are doing the cost path then its a great place to stop off and fly.
Flying Area: WHEN TIDE IS OUT: Neaps: Measures about 1/2 mile long and about 1/4 mile wide of beach.
Springs : Measures about 1 - 1 1/4 mile slong by about a mile wide (3 if you walk round the headland).
When tide is in you cannot fly unless tide is in neaps and is particularly shallow that day.
Comments: Wondrous views around the Cornish coast. An excellent place to fly when the wind is onshore - smooth and clean. Suitable for all disciplines.
Note: In summer flying is restricted by number of toursits on the beach + if you are
kitesurfing during the winter months watch out for hidden divers and the local surf dudes.
