Height ASL: 10 metres - CAA Limit: 60m

Location: Northern end of the Island, at L'Ancresse Bay.

Directions: Go north from everywhere, towards Golf Course. Turn onto Les Clotures road (heading east) and turn north into car park opposite L'Ancresse Hotel. Continue along park road to the furthest car park.

Parking: Free

Facilities: Tea rooms, toilets, payphone facilities along beach front.

Accessibility: Excellent.

Flying Area: Uneven common land, mostly grassed. 10m variance, crest of a 20m hill. There is a wide flat stretch, approx 15m by 200m.

Comments: Beware rabbit holes, cows, horses, gorse bushes, people with no self-preservation instincts.
However, this is almost the only good flying site on the Island at high tide, or wet days.
Observe CAA restrictions - aircraft overhead in runway approach. This area gets extremely busy in summer.
