Directions: not far from suspension bridge, just off A.4176 near the zoo
Buses 1, 41, 42, 43, 54, 55 and 99 from the city centre to the downs (Blackboy Hill).
Bus 8 from Bristol Temple Meads station goes via Clifton Village and the zoo to Blackboy Hill. (www.traveline.org.uk)

Parking: Free parking on the road.

Facilities: Toilets by the water tower. Usually a few ice cream vans dotted about during the summer. Pubs and shops-a-plenty in Clifton village or on Whiteladies Road (A4018). Both 5-10 minute walk from the downs.

Accessibility: Excellent. Park and fly!

Flying Area: Most parts of the Clifton and Durdham Downs are suitable for flying, although the area by the Avon Gorge on the Durdham Downs has the best wind and you will see plenty of other people flying their kites here. The whole area can get very busy on warm summer days.
