Location: Two miles West of Bristol City centre

Directions: [A] From Bristol centre, follow signs to Clifton and Suspension Toll Bridge out of Bristol.
Cross the bridge (20p toll) and Ashton Court is where this road B3129 joins A369, just by the bridge (MAP).
Go through arched gates opposite this junction, then a short distance along, turn right to car park and the flying area is a short walk uphill, just past the large clump of trees.

or [B] From the suspension bridge, turn right Turn right towards M5 and at the traffic lights (very near) turn left onto B3129 (Beggarbush Lane) go just past Redwood Lodge Hotel (hotel map) then turn left into Longwood Lane, past Old Bristolians Rugby Club, through double steel gate on LHS (MAP), then very bumpy/muddy track about 1 mile to flying and parking area.

or [C] From the M5 J19 follow A369 3.8 miles to major traffic lights. Turn right onto B3129 (Beggarbush Lane), then as above.

Parking: on site.

Facilities: Rock all on site (except at festival time). Fuel & food at Gordano Services on M5 J19.

Accessibility: Use route [B] or [C] if you have a lot of gear, or are at all disabled.

Flying Area: 6 acres of a much larger estate. Huge plateau, plenty of room to accommodate all types of kite flying.

Comments: The use of this site by Avon Kite Flyers is very conditional on maintaining the very good relationship with Bristol City Council. To this end, all visiting kiteflyers are asked to ensure that they drive on the lane/track and NOT on the grass.
